The G-gauge polar express train is a very nice train for the price. As long as you know what you are getting, this train will not disappoint. The G-gauge basically means that the train is made out of primarily plastic, rather than metal in the O-gauge. This train is also battery powered. I have heard some complaints that the batteries included with the train do not last very long, so if you get this lionel polar express train set, you might want to make sure that you have an extra set of batteries on hand or some rechargeable batteries that will save you money in the end.

All in all, you won’t be able to find a better radio controlled G-scale train with so many features for the low price of this train.
